Unable to permanently wipe contents of Recycle Bin after virus

    Sorry, I'm not 100% sure this is the correct place to post this but I couldn't find anywhere more appropriate.

    A while back I had a virus which infected my $recycle.bin folder. I was able to get rid of it, but now I find that my Ace Utilities 'wipe recycle bin' option doesn't work. I'll hit Start and it will go straight to the Finished screen, with nothing being deleted. This also happens if I try it with Advanced SystemCare 6 and CCleaner. Clearly these are all related, but I'm unable to find a solution for it.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
