    I have been having issues with windows update failing and a fellow from the IT dept at work thought that the tweaking.com windows repair tool might help. Tte problem is we cannot launch it. When we try we get the error message shown in the attached jpg, any idea whats going on and how to resolve the problem? 1.jpg

    Thanks for the link but its not helpful as there is no solution to the problem posted. However I think I have found the solution in the following post found here
    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...ualMemory-quot-Dumping-first-32-Bytes-Forums;

    I will try disabling or even uninstalling Hitman Pro and see if this solves the problem. One way or the other I will report back.

    Actually, you should be running it safe mode as their documentation suggests.

    Uninstalling HitMan Pro worked.

    I had tried the portable version and it was blocked as per above. As to safe mode,,,,,,I thought I would have to have the tool installed before entering safe mode,,,,,never thought of installing it in safe mode,,,,,,may well have worked but no need to do that now.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

    Since the portable ver. doesn't have to be installed, you just run it directly from safe mode.

    Yes, I realized that after having uninstalled HitMan, will remember it for next time (hopefully will never have a next time).
