They may say the speeds have increased, but in my case British Telecom told me they had upped my speed from 50meg to 78 for free Then they told me that because there was some copper wire on last part to my house I could only ever get 50meg I'm sure this will apply to lots of properties away from the main road and fibre boxes. It probably helped their survey figures
