    This is very good news indeed for those who depend on Firefox, earlier you had to do it via tedious method of adding ppas or using other hacks.

    This is great. In fact, I wonder why they didn't do this sooner.

    Would be even better if they could extend this policy towards other frequently-used packages as well, say, OpenOffice and Empathy.
