Interesting development. I wonder what other software are removed and added.

Looking forward to improvements on Unity.

Me too. I downloaded and installed the 11.10 Alpha 1 and didn't get far with it. I installed it twice in VirtualBox and once in VMWare and I can't get the menu to work. I know it is just an Alpha but without a working menu I can't do much else with it. There is no reasonable way to launch anything except with the sidebar icons. Those work but there are not enough of them to make it useful. I started up Firefox and version 5 is included. I guess I'll wait for the next build to do any more testing. :(

I like this development. My daughter is really liking 11.04 so far. She did not like the version of Unity that shipped with Ubuntu Netbook, but this one is usable. I also have it running in VirtualBox on my Slackware64-current machine.
