    Well, this sounds like mumbo jumbo to me and if it's such a problem then it should be changed.

    Yes I have enabled it and so far I didn't see any problems.

    Thanks, so this option still exists! But there is a problem, I still can't figure out how to allow embedded stuff from Instagram and Twitter on certain sites, because those scripts aren't even listed in uBlock's GUI. So Ghostery is a better solution for me at the moment, at least on certain sites.

    BTW, I don't know what happened but now I suddenly do see scripts related to Twitter and Instagram, so perhaps uBlock was somehow malfunctioning? So at the moment I don't need Ghostery anymore but I will keep it installed in case I run into any problems.

    noop = request not subject to dynamic filtering, but static filters still apply
    allow = request not subject to dynamic and static blocking

    Could it be that gorhill made "cnameUncloak undefined" permanent? Cant change it any longer and it has refused me to download a file with right clight (mozilla servers) because target is put on [...].cloudfront.net. to notice that i dont trust cloudfront servers at all so they are blocked by default. direct click loads file, right click is forbidden? thats kinda bs.

    ~resolved~

    gorhill moved that option into settings (canonical...)

    thank you

    I do. Are you shown some nagging popups? an image can help.

    I use "i dont care about cookies" extension and some css style against such nag.

    I set autoplay to "turned off" in YouTube and protect the corresponding cookie (called PREF) from being deleted with the addon Cookie Quick Manager. :)

    [Edit]
    I see now that you use Chrome, but there must be cookie managers for that browser as well.
    E.g. EditThisCookie.

    It's just a nag pop-up. If you click it away, you can continue to browse YouTube.

    it's what the pop-up reads. he's not asking you to sign in to your yt account.

    thats why i asked for an image. This (firefox/chromium) profile show no nags like that, my other profile showed me one before i synced my settings and installed extension updates. all profiles:
    Code:
    #guide,
    #consent-bump,
    iron-overlay-backdrop,
    iron-overlay-backdrop.opened
    ytd-popup-container
    {
        display: none !important;
    }

    ytd-app[guide-persistent-and-visible] ytd-page-manager.ytd-app
    {
        margin-left: 0px !important;
    }
    (adjustment inserted)

    This is the equivalent css to Jan's uBo code.

    Thanks, but my point is that this is all too complex for me. I just want to be able to allow scripts when it breaks a certain site. With Ghostery it's very simple to do this, and it's also very simple to figure out which script you need to enable.

    OMG thanks. I was already planning to ask this question how to disable this annoying pop-up, Google should be ashamed for this stuff! I did ask this months ago, but nobody could figure out how to remove it.

    uBlock already has a surrogate feature
    dont see any. w/o uBo - vimeo? dont allow frames.
    uMatrix dont allow XHR by default, so double blocked.

    Is blocked here, even with uBO disabled.
    But without Enhanced Tracking Protection (in Firefox) it is shown.

    Do you mean this one?

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/pq7fcdenadwjdnh/Screenshot_player.png

    When Enhanced Tracking Protection is turned off, uBO blocks it.
    Maybe try with AdGuard Base list enabled.

    In the description of ClearURLs for Firefox:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/clearurls/

    you can read that the extension uses:

    The Dandelion's list:

    https://github.com/DandelionSprout/adfilt/discussions/163

    currently has 226 rules.
    Too bad it can't be used in UBO Legacy.:(

    If among the members of W. there is someone who can help Just Off I invite him to come forward.:thumb:

    Gorhill (dev for uBO) says:

    You can also use the logger in uBO to find out what is being blocked on a domain.
    I also do not have any allow rules in my ruleset.
