U.S. Army halts use of Chinese-made drones over cyber concerns

    "NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. Army has ordered its members to stop using drones made by Chinese manufacturer SZ DJI Technology Co Ltd because of "cyber vulnerabilities" in the products...

    DJI drones are the most widely used by the Army among off-the-shelf equipment of that type..."

    Well all I can offer is this. When you invent and hold some of the most highly sophisticated types of technology on the order of drones not to mention even more advanced (other types) creations, and you market out to the entire world even a dumb-downed version for sales (gotta make that easy money right?), count on that technology being picked apart and your customer even more sophisticated with implementing advancing STEALTH in adding their own little twists to them.

    This yet another in a series of but a single example of the evidence and results of technology let loose without forethought of potential unintended consequences.

    Well, at least now this nation is learning of just what can happen and reorganize efforts against repeating the same mistakes again, which next time might not be so pretty or stealthy. (sigh)
