    This menu makes NO SENSE

    http://i20.tinypic.com/243rksg.jpg

At first it tells you to check your web browsers for added security

then it says NOTE: Do not enable this option on web browsers?

THIS IS REALLY STUPID and confusing.

Do they not have anyone there proof reading these menus to make sense when people read them?? I don't even care if someone here can make sense of it, the point is that whatever sense they can make of it...it's not clear and should be changed.

The boxes have three states: empty, checked, and crossed (see image)

The cross means the program wont be filtered, and that why they dont recommend that setting for browsers.

    Grammar??

    Nod32 Setup

    Antivirus and antispyware

    Protocol filtering

"the program allow you to check..."

THIS IS NOT PROPER ENGLISH. Whoever is doing your proof reading or whoever is writing these little excerpts to explain what that particualar option does should be FIRED. They are horrible at their job. They aren't good at anything, they don't list a recommended setting for all things, and they dont use proper english to explain anything properly to people so they can choose what to change the setting to.

This is just unacceptable if you want to say you've created a good antivirus.

The product is not finished yet. If you look at the title it says "BETA". The help files are actually being proofread and they should be ok in the final version.

Right. By ticking the desired checkbox you mark that application as a web browser.

This refers to the exclusion of certain applications from scanning. Excluding applications is actually not desirable and will lower the protection, hence the warning.

I'd assumed that this was the case, but the fact that we're all discussing this in a thread just proves that it's not clear in the first place.

The text that says "Do not enable this option on web browers or e-mail clients!" is immediately above the window which contains a list of applications, and is confusing.

It would be much clearer if it simply said "Do not exclude web browers or e-mail clients!"

You're right, I've amended the text.
