OK, those awfully clever chaps at Maxthon have released two current final versions of their browser: Maxthon Browser for Windows V4.9.1.1000 and Maxthon Browser for Windows V4.4.8.2000.

There’s absolutely nothing confusing about having two concomitant releases. Absolutely nothing.

I mean, only an idiot would download V4.9.1.1000 when it was released about ten days before V4.4.8.2000 was released thinking it was the Maxthon browser update from V4.4.8.1000, wouldn’t they? o_O

As far as I can see, bearing in mind I’m an idiot lol, V4.9.1.1000 is basically a beta for V5. As I said before; nothing, absolutely nothing to be confused about.

V4.9.1.1000 isn’t bad really, considering the ugly Chrome-like font rendering and the fact it won’t stream some TV channels. It will probably be great when its finished. :gack:

Meanwhile, I’ll stay with V4.4.8.2000 for now. ;)

Either way, for the first time in five years, Maxthon isn’t my default browser anymore. :geek:

    Maxthon still rocks though! :thumb:

I installed Maxthon 5 yesterday but that only lasted about 10 minutes. I did not like it at all so uninstalled it and will stay with 4.9 until the end of time.

I'm actually staying with V4.4.8.2000 and it's back to being my default browser.
