I have set up an application rule to automatically allow an application to change my wallpaper every few minutes or so. Now that I allow this application I would like to turn off logging for it. I'm probably missing something but the only time I see an option to turn off logging is when I set the rule to "block".

    Thanks.

    Hi share98.

Wallpaper protection is done within regdefend.
If you go to the regdefend tab, you'll see two group of rules: Global and application specific. I believe that in the current build it's only possible to disable logging globally for a rule rather than per application.

    Under Global Rule>Security policies
    Near the end you'll find

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet explorer\Desktop\General
    - Wallpaper

You can disable logging for that rule for all programs.

    Hopes it help ;)

Not trying to hijack the thread, but speaking of logging... Why is it that all copies of my RegDefend do not have any logging whatsoever? Did one of the updates get rid of it?

I always used to have a log with the date etc showing, but alas, it seems to be gone. See attached pic.

    This is regdefend before appdefend.
    Quite not the latest version.
Dunno if the functionality have been removed to prepare the arrival of appdefend.

I have owned RegDefend for probably close to two years. The lack of the logging feature, is something that just cropped up recently. However, maybe something was changed in an update as you said in the latter part of your statement.

If the logging problem began on Jan 1st, it will end on Feb 1st!

In the meantime you get your logs back by clicking the drop-down box for the month and selecting January. You will need to do this daily until Febuary - it is due to a bug.

Thanks TopperID. I knew I was not going crazy and yes, it did just start this month.

Cheers and thanks for the heads up.
