trying to submit virus sample but unsuccesful.

    im trying to submit few viruse samples thru my yahoo email id by making rar file with a password but when i try to attach that file yahoo service tells me that the virus has been detected.
    anyone noticed that?

    Same sorta thing here. I tried to send two password protected rar files through Outlook Express/isp and copped a nasty reply sorta along the lines of "Deleted" and "don't do it again". :cautious:

    users have posted about this in the Kl forums as well.
    the solution seems to be to encryt the file names as well.

    i tried with the option in winrar called encrypt file names but same result.

    i am not sure but i think 7zip is a good solution...it worked last time i tried with gmail

    I don't know if this will work but you can try to rename for example sample.rar to sample.bak maybey than you will be able to send. But you need first to enable the option in windows to see the file extensions.

    I'm trying to send some samples to KL, sending the samples from the quarantine using Windows Live Mail, but I'm having no replies....:(

    sometimes they add the samples and a few days later they tell you.

    well the last 1.5 years it never took them over 3 hours for me :)

    Neither for me, but I don't know, it's been three days and still no answer...

    Have you tried to rar the rar-file?
