Hi! No sex sites for me, but I still seem to have have picked up some bugs. I have run the following programs just prior to now: SpywareBlaster (found and fixed some problems), Spybot (found and fixed some problems), CWShredder (came up clean), and Ad-aware6 (found and fixed some problems). Here is my HijackThis log after running the preceding programs:

    Hi LoreanLe,

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. When you run HijackThis from this folder and have it "Fixed checked" it will create a backup file of modifications to use if restore is necessary. Delete the old copy please.

Check the boxes next to all these, close all other windows, then click Fix Checked.

    After that, Reboot.

Viewpoint is an item that is bundled with various AOL products and is not generally disclosed that it is being installed. You will have to decide for yourself if you would like to keep it or not, but you may be trading away information for it's pretty pictures. I recommend reading this post and the rest of the topic to see both sides presented http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41458&view=findpost&p=221826

These items would be the ones you want to remove if you do not want viewpoint:

    03 - Toolbar: Viewpoint Toolbar - {F8AD5AA5-D966-4667-9DAF-2561D68B2012} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBar.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

You would then want to reboot and find this folder and delete it:

    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe <--- Entire Viewpoint folder

    Other items you should consider:

    Protection - download and install:

SpywareBlaster will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
    http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource.htm#IESPYAD

Both are very small free programs that you run once, and then just occasionally run to check for updates.

    And also see
So how did I get infected in the first place?
