My archives are on an external USB hard drive. When I choose Restore, select the .tlb, and get to 'Proceed', after I click Proceed nothing happens. I tried this a number of times, but couldn't get the restore to start. No error message, no log entry.

Am I doing something wrong? I was able to restore a full disk image by booting from the recovery CD, but could not do it from the TI Window.

I am very tempted to go back to my Acronis TI 11. Would I just uninstall 2009 and then install 11? The Acronis website shows me as having one license, for the 2009, which suggests to me that I don't have a license for the 11 any more.

I have been having ridiculous email exchange with Acronis.

~Private email removed per forum TOS.~

I get the feeling that I'm out my $23.99 and should just move on.

While it should work properly to use the USB drive as the source for the restore, one of the first troubleshooting steps is to move the image to a different drive and try it. If TI 11 works well for you, you can always create a backup image of your drive before trying TI 2009 again and then restore the TI 11 image if the problem with TI 2009 can't be fixed.

If you're really not going to use TI 2009, insist on a refund. There are quite a few regular forum members that upgraded to TI 2009 and immediately went back to the previous TI version they were using.

If registered TI 11 in your Acronis account, your TI 11 license (serial number) and download should still be available. Make sure to check in the different sections (not all show the same list of programs).

I already restored my Acronis 11, registered a long time ago. And it is working fine.

I want nothing more to do with 2009, just want my money back. I don't know how to 'insist on a refund' other than send them emails, as I have been doing.

    Be carefull.

They will not respond to your refund emails until the 30 days are up, then just refuse.

Having bought TI2009, to are simply out your money.

    Thank you, Acronis Support.

I have now received a nice letter from Tatiana Borovikova, indicating that the case was escalated to her and:~Private communication removed.~

Looks like a happy ending thanks to your intervention. :thumb:
