Have been using True Image Server 7 (Build 63:cool: and True Image 8 (Build 786).....and with an Intel Server Board SE7210TP1-E which contains a 6300ESB I/O Controller Hub (ICH5-R)......an SATA RAID 1 Array (with 80Gb SATA Seagate Drives) is not identified correctly when booting using the Rescue Media from CD-Rom. True Image sees 2 drives as opposed to 1 integrated Drive.

Have just downloaded True Image 8 (Build 791) and will test......and also have upgraded to True Image 8.0 Corporate Workstation to try as well.

Anyone else seen the same issue?

Have just tested again using Acronis True Image v8 build 791 and also Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation v8 build 921 and exactly the same issue - two separate drives are identified instead of the the one integrated drive.

Also tried with the "acpi=off noapic" workaround, but this had no effect.

Perhaps there are some switches at BIOS level that impact on this? Something in the RAID configuration......or is it a piece of Hardware that Acronis doesn't yet support?

    Hello christra,

First of all, please note that the latest build of Acronis True Image 8.0 Corporate Workstation is 928, not 921. You may download it at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/.

The ICH5-R is supported by Acronis True Image so this problem should be investigated thoroughly. Could you please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears? After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the "OK" button and wait for # prompt to appear. Please insert a diskette into a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands:

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
    umount mntdir

Please send the sysinfo.txt file from the diskette to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread and indicate in the letter that you want to contact Marian Fadeeva.

    Thank you.

    Hello Christra,

It's not clear from your posts but can you confirm that you are creating a new boot rescue CD from within each updated TI build?

    Regards

Have just tested again using Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation v8 build 928.....and the issue (of two separate drives for a RAID1 Array) still exists. Just to point out that at the time I started this thread (26th January).....build 928 had not been released.

I have also sent an e-mail to support@acronis.com with the sysinfo.txt file which was created using Acronis True Image v8 build 791 - incidently, how do we create a sysinfo.txt file using TICWv8? - F11 doesn't work as it does with TIv8.

Anyway, hopefully the sysinfo.txt can assist Marian with the issue. TI and TI Server v7 work well with various other Adaptec ATA RAID and Intel SCSI RAID Cards we use.

In answer to Menorcanam.......Yes, a new Rescue Media CD is created for each of the TI and TICW builds......otherwise I'd simply be testing exactly the same build each time!!!!......and this wouldn't be particularly clever.

    Christra,

O.K. just thought it was worth a check. You wouldn't believe the number of other posters to this forum who we have found were using previous boot rescue CDs with newer builds.

    Regards
