    Hi there,

    I will install Acronis True Image Echo Server on openSUSE 11.

    First, I run the Acronis setup script. The Snapapi26 Modul compiling failds.

    dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 --config /boot/config-2.6.25.16-0.1-default --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux-2.6.25.16-0.1 --arch x86_64

    Code:
    Preparing kernel 2.6.25.16-0.1-default for module build:
    (This is not compiling a kernel, just preparing kernel symbols)
    Storing current .config to be restored when complete
    Running Generic preparation routine
    make mrproper.....
    using /boot/config-2.6.25.16-0.1-default
    make oldconfig.....
    make prepare.....

    Building module:
    cleaning build area....
    make KERNELRELEASE=2.6.25.16-0.1-default -C /usr/src/linux-2.6.25.16-0.1 SUBDIRS=/var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.29/build modules....(bad exit status: 2)

    Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 2.6.25.16-0.1-default (x86_64)
    Consult the make.log in the build directory
    /var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.29/build/ for more information.
    /var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.29/build/make.log:

    I will fix the problem like that:

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1215699&postcount=4

    My snapapi26.c file likes that:

    Code:
    ...
    out_err:
            bio_endio(bio, -EIO);
            return 0;
    }
    ..
    if (!q) {
            ...
            bio_io_error(bio);
            return 1;
    }
    ...
    snumbd26.c:

    Code:
    if (!s) {
            ...
            bio_endio(bio, -EIO);
            return 0;
    }

    I use EXTRA_CFLAGS

    dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 --config /boot/config-2.6.25.16-0.1-default --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux-2.6.25.16-0.1 --arch x86_64

    make.log now:

    Code:

    make sure you have the following rpms installed:

    gcc
    glibc-devel
    kernel-source (must be exactly the same as the kernel your using) (64bit OS might require a different version of kernel-source)
