    Dear all,

On of the linux SuSe machines, installed at work, should be backed up, and preferably even being migrated to a virtual machine.
Can an image be created from my original machine, and be restored onto a Sun Virtualbox virtual machine ? I suppose this can be done using the Universal Restore option. However, I cannot find out if this option is available only for Windows, or also for Linux versions of Acronis.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Hans

    Hello spincemaille,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Products

I’m afraid you will not be able to complete this task using Acronis True Image Corporate versions with Universal Restore. Corporate versions support the following virtual disk types:

    - VMvare
    - VMvare (ESX server)
    - Microsoft Virtual PC
    - Parallels
    - XenServer

Check the following article concerning P2V and V2P migration.

    Best regards,
