Can rescue CD of True Image 8 read UDF formatted DVDs?

I have a tib file that is 2.5 GB in size and I would like to burn in to DVD and use it together with rescue CD once I need to recover my partition.

    Thanks!

    Hello Eddie,

Yes it can. Just burn the image file to DVD as a DVD-ROM (UDF) data compilation.

    Regards

    Hello Eddie1506,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Just would like to add to Menorcaman reply that UDF versons higher than 2.01 are not supported when using Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD. So we recommend you to use UDF version 2.01 or lower.

    Thank you.

    Hello again Eddie,

Aleksandr's advice about the UDF file system would only apply if you were preformatting DVDs for use with UDF packer writing software such as Nero InCD or Roxio Drag-to-Disk. If you burn a DVD-ROM (UDF) data compilation as I advised with, say, Nero Burning ROM then the disk doesn't require preformatting (it just needs to be blank), so you wouldn't need to worry about the file system constraint in this case.

    Regards
