I am currently evaluating TI8.0 for a client. I have both ide and scsi disk. In fact I would like to upgrade the system from scsi drives to the ide drives. I can't seem to find this info in the user manual, I could have missed it. My question is because I am running a trial verison of TI8.0, I don't have scsi support. So if I get the client to spring for the full version he will get the scsi driver? Then we can move on the next phase of this project.

I have visited my client's site and have this additional information, the host adapter is an adaptec ava-2906 using the 7850 scsi drivers. The OS is win 2000. I have logged into the adaptec site and found drivers for this card for windows 2000.
The question comes down to this, do you support this card in TI8.0o_O

    Hello Shuan,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/).

If you want to upgrade the system from SCSI to IDE drives then there shouldn't be a problem. You can create an image of running system under Windows (don't forget to use the Sysprep tool from Microsoft; for more information please see http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/faq.html#17) and then restore it to the IDE drive using the Acronis bootable rescue CD.

You can also use the "Clone Disk" wizard.

    Thank you.
