True Image 8.0 build796

Hi

I just installed the latest build (796) of True Image 8.0 and I would like to create a backup image on a dual layer DVD disc.
My DVD drive is a LG 4480. Anyone in here used this drive to create a backup or image disc with success??
I had tried with the earlier build of True Image 8.0 and had no success, the only advice I could seem to find was to try and upgrade the firmware on the drive itself but I don't really want to change that if I don't have too..
The drive seems to work great on any other software I have.
Any suggestions, or good results with this model of drive??
I don't want to wreck too many discs.. the dual layer discs are still pretty pricey.

Dual layer sounds like an expensive way to backup. The cheapest dual layer discs I have seen so far are about $6 each. Have you actually made a successful dual layer disc of any kind on your drive?
