True Image 7.0 638 won't boot with F11 or CD

I can't get my computer to boot into Acronis safe mode (hitting F11 or using a boot cd. I run into the same problem either way). After I hit F11 it goes to the Acronis graphical interface. I select True Image (not boot into windows), I get the screen that is black and displays Acronis True image in white and orange and says please wait. The large white cursor blinks for a few seconds and then stops blinking. My system is frozen at that point.

I have a fairly new Toshiba laptop with a Celeron 370 processor. I was able to make a image in windows using the secure zone, but since I can't boot into True Image I won't be able to use it.

Have you tried downloading a more recent build - its 889 now?

 

638 is the most current version of 7.0 (I didn't buy 8.0 yet and I probably won't if I can't get 7.0 to work). I tried the work around in the sticky notes, but no luck.
