I am having avg pop-up with trojanhorsedownloader.1stbar stuck in the system volume information file. Avg tells me its there but wont detect it again after it supposedly singled it out and got rid of it. Adaware finds nothing either. i get a message showing access is denied to my system volume info folder, so i cant open it. This all started after watching a normal video,(non-sexual) on ebaumsworld.com. here is a copy of my hijack log. any help is appreciated alot! Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7

    Hi lsleach,

Before you start please unzip hijackthis.exe to a folder of it´s own. The program creates backups in the folder it is in. On your desktop that would look messy.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART

    O4 - Startup: iMesh.lnk = C:\Program Files\iMesh\Client\iMeshClient.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: GStartup.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe

    O4 - Global Startup: KODAK Software Updater.lnk = C:\Program Files\Kodak\KODAK Software Updater\7288971\Program\backWeb-7288971.exe

    O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -

    Then reboot and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT <= entire folder

In Add/Remove Software uninstall P2P Networking

I did everything as directed. This however did not take the virus out of my system volume info folder. the folder is also saying access denied when i try to open. avg runs its tests and dosent pick it up during testing but there are pop-ups that come on and tell me its there every few hours. Hijack this currently shows:

    Hi Scott Leach,

You will need to clean out your restore points.

To clean out your System Restore, do the following:

    Turn OFF System Restore.
    1. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    2. Click Properties.
    3. Click the System Restore tab.
    4. Check the box beside "Turn off System Restore".
    5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    6. Restart the computer. (You must restart your computer to clear the old Restore Points)

To Turn System Restore back ON.
    1. Follow the above Steps 1 to 3
    2. UNcheck the box beside "Turn off System Restore".
    3. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Then create a new restore point.

Your AV scans should now come up clean.

    Regards,
    Kent
