    hello. my computer has been popping up with a button which says, trojan revop. c and whenever i run my avg scanner along with other virus scanner, it would say that i have no virus! this is driving me crazzzy!

    Hi lylxmarz,

    Before you start, please unzip hijackthis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder in the folder it's in.
    These easily get lost in a Temp folder.

    Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:

    Then in IE click Tools > internet-options > Geberal Tab click delete Files and include offline content.

    Boot normally and keep us posted.

    hello! first of all, thank you very very much for your help. i really appreciate you taking ur time and helping me. :)

    i followed ur directions and now whenever i restart my computer, a button pops up saying - "the procedure entry point ?stringfileinfo@ ncserverinfo @@ UAEKAAVCPstring @@ PBDGG @ Z could not be located in the dynamic link library PSNshare.dll."

    what the heck does it mean and what can i doo_O

    oops! by the way, when i tried to delete the file, C:\WINDOWS\System32\xaxlpal.exe, my computer said such file didn't exist.

    and once again, it says i have trojan horse revop.c in my system volume information file. sigh, so frustrated.

    The path indicates that it is in your system restore. You can purge your restore points of any infection that may have been backed up in there by following these directions:

    Turn OFF System Restore:
    1. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    2. Click Properties.
    3. Click the System Restore tab.
    4. Check the box beside "Turn off System Restore".
    5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    6. Restart the computer. (You must restart your computer to clear the old Restore Points)

    Turn System Restore ON:
    1. Follow the above Steps 1 to 3
    2. UNcheck the box beside "Turn off System Restore".
    3. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. And set a new Restore Point.
