Hi, I located the file that was infected by the SecThought.E trojan in my System Volume Information folder. I deleted the file to see if this would make my sound work again. I emptied the recycle bin, but now AVG is telling me that the trojan is in my C:\RECYCLER folder. And I can't locate it. Dont know what to do. Help Please.

    hi

    Please do this.
    Download 'Hijack This!'. http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
Unzip to a convenient permanent folder, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.Someone here will be happy to analyze the results for you
