    Hi j1281,

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART

    O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -

    Then disable System Restore.
Then reboot and uninstall P2P Networking in Add/Remove Software.
Then re-enable System Restore and scan to make sure everything is gone.

Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hey Pieter,

I just wanted to say thanks and that I appreciate the help, this little ordeal was beginning to get very annoying.

I am having a similar issue with my Aunt's computer that I am trying to help her fix. However, her computer was infected with the lsass.exe (Sasser.B) worm, and although AVG 6.0 was able to remove the worm from the system she is getting the same "found in C:\System Volume Information" popup multiple times. Here is the log from Hijackthis for her computer, if you could take a look at this one as well it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again
    John
