    Hello there,

I wonder if you could help? I received a file via email from a friend which I did not like the look of -- called "qwe8264".

I saved it to my desktop (did not open it) and right-clicked it to scan with AVG which showed it as a virus. I then submitted it to Kapersky who said it was "Backdoor.Agent.ah". I ran a complete check which returned 2 instances on my hard drive. I then deleted it off my system completely.

I then re-ran AVG and this reports me free from viruses. Panda Activescan also says I have no virus infection.

However, Housecall says I have have a virus --- TROJ_KILLREG.D

Earlier in the day I did install RegistryProt2.0 from here.

So I don't know if I am infected and only Housecall recognises it or whether I am not infected and Housecall is reporting a false positive.

    o_O o_O o_O

Here is my HJT log which does not show the O2 BHO reporting the presence of the file I received -- am I clean?

By the way AVG calls the infection

    Trojan horse Backdoor.Agent.AY

It does not come up on scans -- I obtained this from the test results function.

    Can someone help?

I have a file called autoclk.exe on here now which Housecall is showing as a virus, although AVG says I am clean.

Is this part of this TROJ_KILLREG.D that Housecall is reporting?

There seems to be confustion from other people about this too:

    http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-712978-Trojan-win32-KillReg-d

Is this a brand new variant of something nasty or a false positive?

    Can anyone please help?
