Hi,having heard some good reports on NOD32,i have just downloaded and installed the 30 day trial version. One query....does the automatic update feature work in the trial version or do you have to check it manually whenever? I read something about a username and password being needed so i assume it is the registered version that features automatic updates?

Many thanks for any info provided.

    Hi Crazydruid, welcome to Wilders.

If you haven't already, may I suggest a run through Extra Settings for Nod32.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

I have a trial version on a client's computer and it doesn't update the components; stays at 2.50.19.

I assumed that Eset would update to .23 or later since .19 had confirmed update issues with Windows.

That is upto ESET! Cause they give priority to only paid customers.

I am a paid customer, but trying to convince my customers about NOD32's advantages with a trial becomes harder when known problem components don't update. C'mon, I'm already suspect with them for answering their questions about what NOD means with the "hospital on the edge" thing! :D

Marcos stated that the difference between 2.5.19 and 2.5.25 is a configuration editor update - this isn't relevant unless you're running enterprise... and if you are, without knowing the exact change....

Thanks Greg, I was looking for Marcos's quote but couldn't find it, knew the change was minor...

    Cheers :D
