Does Trend micro provide some protection even when it's offline? and when in terms of performance, how does it compare to other products? I saw Trend Micro doing good in AV-test and AV-comparatives. I need some answers. I'm curious to try this products. :D Thanks.

I'm using Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2013 more than 2 years. It doesn't slow down my PC, very good protection and detection rate, pc never been infected by virus or malware. I recommended you to try it.

Not the same as online (Titanium uses cloud technology).

I have a 1 year license for this. How are the actual detection rates?

The web protection is excellent and the behavior blocker/HIPS it has is great but it can be annoying when it detects a good apps and you will have a hard time trying to make it to ignore it. because once its warning pop-up, it will remove the file and you have to go and restore and try to make it ignore it.

    Otherwise is very solid.

Meh. Even if detection rates are top notch this is heavy software on the RAM usage.

    I know.

But I can't answer for how heavy or ligrht is when the question was just about the detection rates.
    One thing at a time.....
