Can the bookmarks in W7 be put on a disk and transferred to W 10? I am not ready to do it, but wonder how to transfer data to a new computer.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

Jerry, I'm not sure what web BROWSER you plan on using in W10 but most modern browsers offer an EXPORT feature in their Bookmark/Favorite area.

My usual Browser is FF. I put my bookmarks on a disk this AM. The names show, but when I click on one it always goes to BBC News. That seems strange to me. I don't know if Windows would straighten it out if loaded to a browser.
    Thanks for the reply.

Actually, saving the bookmarks database to JSON is IMO a bad idea. The database can't be used if one wants to change the web browser. Better export them to HTML if you ask me.
