I am in the process of creating a Wordpress site for my wife. She wants the "Share" buttons that make it easy for site visitors to share the site on social media. I found a plugin that does this, one called AddToAny. Once I added this feature, when I visited the website I saw that NoScript was detecting a script running, which I guess should not be a surprise, but Ghostery was detecting two trackers - Google Analytics and Lockerz Share..

Here is what Ghostery has to say about Lockerz Share https://www.ghostery.com/en/apps/lockerz_share
    Data Collected:
    Anonymous (Browser Information, Hardware/Software Type)
    Pseudonymous (IP Address (EU PII))
    Data Sharing:
Aggregate data is shared with 3rd parties.

I guess there is a still price to be paid with these free plugins that are so popular on Wordpress.

My question is, is this just the "usual" privacy sacrifices people are willing to make on the web, or is this more aggressive?

    Thanks
