    I've said this before here, but it bears repeating. No matter how well we block tracking, we can't eliminate data that's already been collected. Many of us have been tracked for decades! What we can do move activities that we don't want in our true-name profiles to pseudonyms. Although those pseudonyms will also be tracked, with some care we can keep their profiles distinguished from our true-name profiles.

    Key practices are 1) using different IP addresses, 2) using different computers (or VMs), 3) using different operating systems, 4) using different browser configurations, 5) using different email addresses and providers, and 6) avoiding overlaps in activities, interests, online contacts, and so on.
