    Hi,

having problem with a Satellite 2405-S201. Boot error: PXE-E61 Media Test Fail, Check cable.

toshiba's support said it could be a 'priority boot device' issue. I enter the BIOS, set HDD priority boot to high (HDD, FDD, ....) but still not working.

i notice BIOS says HDD Mode: Not Used

i couldn't restore default BIOS. dont have access to HDD Mode option.

do you have any advice? have you seen this problem?

I installed other HDD and get the same issue.

Maybe i have to open the case and check...

    Thanks in advance!

Did you check the cable? Try replacing the cable and see what happens.
