Is there a way to stop my Tor bundle checking for updates, and displaying the 'update' message?

Why would one not want to use the latest version of Tor, especially after the massive security issue that needed everyone to update?

I like my old Tor/Vidalia/Privoxy bundle, it was secure for long enough has it now been compromised in some way?

It has been updated several times recently to fix security issues, never use an outdated version of software like Tor.

I'm surprised that someone using anonymity software doesn't feel inclined to keep more up-to-date concerning security news like this: https://blog.torproject.org/blog/tor-02234-released-security-patches

Why would you possibly opt-out of an update? For any program... especially security software.
