    Something of a surprise , but Schneier and Cohn are both "big hitters " in this area , and have excellent pedigrees.

    Fresh eyes , new blood etc. ..... it could be just what the Tor Project needs right now !!

    It does make one wonder doesn't it? It could just be thousands of hours of development for free and he has hit a wall. I have done that before on certain projects and after a few years you are just done. I hit that wall with TrueCrypt code and "fixing" things on a zillion threads. Now I mostly just read through and keep moving. A wall is a wall.

    Of course a suspicious mind can think sinister, which is what you were hinting at.

    Yes. But the thing is, I don't know him. I don't know his ethics. So it's very ambiguous.
