To restore, or not to restore?

In 2019 I got a new laptop which had space for a second drive (no CD). I formatted the laptop to move all the data and associated folders to the D drive (HDD), keeping the system on C drive (SSD). I also bought Macrium 7 and backed up both. For awhile I did incremental backups. In 2021, I started traveling in a converted minivan (mostly spring to fall) and stopped doing backups, which I didn't resume once I got back home.

Recently, although mostly running fine, my laptop developed a problem where it can no longer cast from Youtube to a Vizio smartTV. On the Youtube page, the casting icon in no longer there. If I try to cast from a browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.), I'll click the cast icon, a popup looks for devices, but none are found. My phone has no problem casting to the TV. I've tried countless fixes to correct the problem and frankly I'm surprised I haven't damaged the laptop further. Perhaps I have. Other than not being able to cast or start the function discovery resource publication service in an attempted fix (function discovery resource publication will not start, 0x80070005 access is denied), the laptop runs fine. While not being able to cast is mostly an inconvenience, not being able to fix it is annoying.

While I've certainly added or deleted many programs, and done countless Windows 10 updates, in the past two and a half years, would it be OK, or wise, to restore the system using the Macruim image? I only want to restore C: system. If I do, what should I be aware of?

    TIA

Thanks. I've tried several fixes including registry edits to start the service, again to no avail. I was also told the service doesn't need to be started to cast to device. I don't want to do a reset (or upgrade to Windows 11, most because I have Adobe CS6 and I'm likely to lose it, or cripple it.

Basically I believe I'm left with two options, a Macruim restore or leave well enough alone and live without casting. I'm not alone with this problem, I've seen dozens of post with the same and only few of the suggestions have worked.

What's the dating of your most recent Macrium Incrementals? Do you have many to choose from or only a few since returning from the road?

Frankly since it's been so long I'm not particularly sure. I'll post 3 images, 1st what the drive looks like now, the schedule and the system backup image.https://photos.app.goo.gl/dsXUKjy8GiNrqMsC7 mac1.JPG mac2.JPG mac3.JPG
