Time to append image

Being new to True Image I changed a couple files to see how TI would handle appending these changed files. They were only 11meg total but it took over 8 minutes to do it. Is this normal for such small files and if so, why?

 

TI is a sector-based back-up solution as opposed to file based. As such, the incremental images consist of the changed sectors, not changed files. The only way for TI to know which sectors have changed, is to look at all of them and see. That's why the incrementals take so long.

Sector based is much better than file based. If you want file based, just use back-up that comes with XP, but it's not very good.
