    Hi,

I have an external HDD which has been converted from FAT32 into NTFS. The trouble is that the resulting cluster size is 512B whereas the recommended value for its size is 4 kB, 8x more.

Paragon Partition Manager Pro 11 is able to perform a conversion, but I have no idea on how long it might take, for a rather slow 40GB HDD.

Is the time proportional to the data there, or to the disk size ? Has someone already performed such a conversion ?

Thanks for sharing your experience !

It depends both on space used by data (cause it will be moved around during conversion) and size of partition.

OK, thanks. I understand data is moved, and not only meta-data, so it does take a while in some cases.
