Hope this helps. I could not get the Acronis> Tools/Options/Notification/Email "Send test e-mail message" to work (it reported there was probably incorrect info entered in the email setup fields). I used other advise found in this forum about email notification problems and changed the email settings info over and over again to no avail. I found one old message on this forum which said a software firewall was blocking outgoing email. I use software firewall ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite and found that when I turned off the "Email Protection> Outbound Mailsafe Protection", I could successfully send a test email. In the ZoneAlarm logs I found that the firewall blocked "Acronis True Image" from sending email. There was advise there that said to put a check mark in the "Send Mail" column in ZoneAlarm "Program Control" for that program to allow it to send email. I did that and then turned back on the ZoneAlarm Outbound Mailsafe Protection. That works.
