Hello all. I am new to the forum but have been using TI for about 2 years. I'm at v9.0 now. I never needed the backups I made until last week...!

I tried to install a cheap, no-name SATA controller on my Dell Dimension 8400 desktop (WinXP Pro, SP2, mirrored SATA/RAID1). The install effort failed and severely corrupted my registry. It was so bad that it was impossible to access the Restore Console. I had 2 choices left: 1) try to restore a backup image from TI9.0 or 2) reload everything from scratch (nightmare! ). Fortunately I had made a full TI drive image only 24 hours earlier.

I started the image restoration from TI and 2.5 hours later my system was fully functional.

    THANK YOU Acronis!
