I just discovered that True Image 8 changes the cluster size when I clone my 36GB SCSI drive to another drive of identical capacity. My original drive is formatted as FAT32 with 16Kb clusters. During the cloning process, True Image shows that the cluster size will be changed to 32Kb. I also wondered if the cluster size will be changed upon restoring from an image as well? I always thought that a "clone" meant an "exact duplicate". Where does TI8 get off arbitrarily changing (increasing) cluster sizes if the destination drive is the exact same capacity as the original? That increases slack space and reduces the amount of available disk space on the drive.
