We have two Dell PowerEdge SC1425 servers running Windows 2003 Enterprise w/ SP1, 2x 150Gb SATA drives running RAID1. We were unable to get Acronis TI Server 8 to install on the one server at all, it hung at the driver installation process and eventually BSOD'd. When the computer rebooted we noticed that one of the drives in the RAID was degraded as was the Array. We manually removed ATIS8 following uninstall instructions found on this forum, reconfigured the RAID1 Array, and then tried again to install ATIS8, the exact same thing happened.

On our other SC1425 we were able to get ATIS8 to install, but when you tried to do a backup it would freeze and upon rebooting the computer you would find the RAID1 Array degraded and would have to rebuild the array. And when we tried to uninstall ATIS8 from this SC1425 server the system BSOD'd and restarted, and if you can guess, the RAID1 Array was degraded and had to be rebuilt. (Which is what I'm doing now, after I manually uninstalled ATIS8 )

We have numorous other Dell PowerEdge servers and don't have this issue with any of the other computers. If anyone has experienced this it would be great to hear from you..

Acronis, do you have a techsupport office in the Northern Virginia area?
