I'm using TI 9.1 Server to back up our main file server to an external USB hard drive. For the last couple months, I've been doing this manually every week, setting the file name (e.g. FileServ4-27-2007.tib) and deleting the oldest file on the backup drive to make room for the newest one.

I need to automate this, and while I see TI has a scheduling feature, I don't see any way to automatically set the file name (e.g. "FileServ" plus today's date) or automatically delete the oldest file if the drive is full.

So how can I do this?

    Hello amb9800,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please see this thread for a solution.

Please be aware that current version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows only has the feature of automatic management of archive files implemented in the form of Acronis Secure Zone. Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server and Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation have the feature in the form of Acronis Backup Server as well; Acronis True Image 10.0 Home has it in the form of Acronis Backup Locations as well. Please see the respective User's Guides here and here for detailed descriptions.
Most likely, this feature will be implemented in the next version of Acronis True Image Server for Windows. I'm sorry, but the exact time-frame is not defined yet.

    Thank you.
