TI 2009 Build 9646 does not install

    Hi,

    I installed my version of TI 2009 a few weeks ago. When I installed I had a problem with a key that did not work. I got a new key sent that did work.

    When I attempt to install the Build 9646 again I have the same problem with the key. What is going on? Do I have to request a new key every time a new build is released?

    How do I get it to install so its not a trial version using the key I have?

    No, you don't need a new key. I'd say you'd better contact Acronis again or try the "key checker" on their website probably under your account.

    Seekforever is correct, as usual. If the serial number worked with the previous build it should work with this one. Check everyone of the sixty four characters to make certain they are correct. I copied and pasted mine from a Word document and it added four extra goofy looking characters.

    I can certainly relate to that. Another software bug perhaps.

    Possibly could be your anti-virus stopping it....possibly.

    I had the same problem. I found a suggestion in this forum that woked beautifully for me:

    Do not enter your key during the initial installation (or reinstallation), it should install without any issue as a trial copy. Once you have verified the "trial" version is functional, then go ahead and register it with your product key.

    Yeah… great idea. This way, if he finds a workaround, it won't benefit anyone else having the same problem and looking for a solution in this forum! :thumbd:

    The serial number you replaced must work for all builds of Acronis True Image Home 2009.

    So the common solution for serial issue is a replacement, which you did.
