    I have the latest build and I'm using modern hardware, nothing funky. TI 10, Windows XP Pro SP2, Dell P670, CERC SATA software RAID, 150GB Raptors, Intel Pro 1000.

    Get the same error part way through backup:

    Failed to write data to the archive file. A possible reason might be poor media quality.

    I've tried backing up the several different machines, all running reasonably current hardware/software. All fail with the same error. No problems backing up to local hard disk. Apparently this is a catch-all, but gives you nothing in terms of troubleshooting. Any ideas? TIA.

    Hello pearsons_11114,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    We will need some additional information to investigate this issue thoroughly and to provide you with a possible workaround.

    First, please clarify if you used Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media or did you use Acronis True Image in Windows to backup to the networked shared folder.

    Please also send us the log file from Acronis True Image 10.0 Home that contains the error message. In order to do so please do the following:

    - run the program;

    - select Show log on the toolbar or from the Tools menu;

    - select the log with error messages;

    - click "Save the log entry to file" (the diskette icon)

    Please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
