To be clear, Liberty Global is a pretty big US based company that was recently taking over by Charter Communication, another big ISP. To be clear, Three is a pretty big company and is owned by CK Hutchison Holdings, a Hong Kong conglomerate. But if you're not following International markets, it's not weird that you never heard of them before.
I see what you did there. But exactly my point, I don't follow the Asian markets, I'm more into Wall Street. But I did assume I knew most of the big British companies like Three, but apparently I didn't.
