I see a database update but no product update, using the internal Smart Update.

From the download page, i downloaded the installer and says 4.0.0.10. (but the date isn't updated). I haven't installed it yet though.

Yes I just got it too. I have installed it, but not on my primary computer, so it isn't getting much of a test drive as of yet. :)

SmartUpdate Servers seem to have some issues (again !! ) o_O
PC Tools is looking into it, hence they recommend ye'old manual download method to update.

More details on PC Tools forum.

I had removed the earlier 4## version because of bugs, mainly with the update function, so was quite interested to see this version released. Downloaded, installed, updated, scanned, and it runs well.
Does not cause any apparent conflict (nor other problem) with Avast, (not tested against malware - I avoid that!), causes little or no browsing slowdown, the database updater appears to work as it should, all is well with the world.
    Quite happy, so far.

I concur. All is well with the world (at least in my little computer security world!). I notice that version 4.0.0.10 has not changed the fact that TFUN.exe (Update engine) wants to connect to the internet even when "Do not check for updates" is selected, and Notices are turned off. I think they are working on that. :thumb:

Out of curiosity, does this thing run on Vista x64 yet? I suspect not, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I used to use it in XP, but have not had a look in some time now.....
