Measures, counter-measures, anti-counter-measures etc. It's a real war between Ads and Ad-Blockers...
The problem for me is a lot of sites buy packages of adds and some are dirty. Then they wonder why people block them. The problem for sites that block ads is are they losing users. Usually sites I see blocking ad blockers aren't vital for me, I'll just go elsewhere.
My problem with it is the way websites create unauthorised live connections to the third party servers that host the ads and analytics. You go to www.website.com and the browser connects to 20 other domains too. That is what I find unacceptable.
Yes it does, but the problem arises when you are forced to enable scripts because the site doesn't work properly without them.
After a while you can figure out which ones those are an just allow those. Like anything else takes a small bit of effort
