I'm a new poster here, so be nice!! :)

    Some background...

With everything I read in the news about hackers and cyber-terrorism and "Big Brother", I have become increasingly *paranoid* about everyone tracking my every move and building some life-long file on me?!

A couple of people I know have recommended getting a "Personal VPN" like WiTopia.

I was wondering if any of you are "experts" on this and can maybe help educate me on this topic so I can make an informed decision.

BTW, as a computer consultant, I am on the road nearly 365 days a year, and since I am on a budget, that means I am usually reduced to using Free Wi-Fi at Denny's or Panera or Starbucks.

I know that isn't secure, and hope maybe you guys can help me be smarter moving forward...

    Sincerely,

    Debbie
