https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...emporary-patch-for-windows-gdi-vulnerability/ Hum ..... Getting to the point where third parties are now offering patches to Win vulnerabilities.
It will probably be patched through updates released in March. Was this vulnerability exploited in the wild, meanwhile? I didn't find any reports of it.
That happens all the time, like WMF exploit, which took Microsoft 10 years to fix, 3rd party fixes were already around. I am more interesting in this new company called https://0patch.com
This vulnerability was reported on November 16th 2016, it is only a guess, it will be fixed withing the next bunch of updates.
I don't know what to think about third party patches, I have a feeling it might be a dangerous thing to rely on.
