    Very nice laid list.

    I guess I'd also like to see a list that doesn't switch out OSs from Windows to Linux. A lot of those programs have Windows ports though.

    A lot of open source programs are multi-platform. They look, feel and work the same no matter what operating system they're on. That's their advantage over proprietary software. :thumb:

    It's not a Linux-specific list. For instance, 7-zip and PDFCreator are not on Linux and NeoOffice is only for OS X.
