What are the things in life (in general, or more specific computer-related) that can make you start to cry, for sad and/or happy reasons?

Wow, your reflexes are quick, Gerard! I'm impressed.

To me, there are three things/categories that always make me sentimental and start to make me cry:

    1) The holocaust...
Whenever confronted with this cruel epsiode of our history (or anything simular in present time) I am overwhelmed by strong emotions of being powerless, enormous amazement, sadness, disappointment and yes, anger... I can cry endlessly...

But, on a lighter note I also get tears in my eyes with the next 2 artists:

    2) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
His brilliance never seazes to affect me, every time I hear only first notes of a piece by this genius... the tears are there and I'm always moved.

    3) Johan Cruijff
IMHO the most brilliant soccerplayer ever. Not only his genius insight in the game; his flawless technique and being a rolemodel for youth.
He's also a very nice, humble and generous person.
    >>>Movie tip: Go see "en un momento dado"; a documentary about the person Johan Cruijff, especially about what he has meant to FC Barcelona an the Catalan population and culture. For a review look overhere. Also see "Johan Cruijff-Foundation".

Sure, there are more things that can move me occaisonally, but these three always do the trick...

PC-related stuff is marginal compared to this imho...

    regards,
    slam

The last one in my humble opion is responsible for quiet a bit of the world's problems.

    BRAVO for your daughter, Gerardwil!

There is, unfortunately, alot of Beslans and worse happening all over.

Africa makes me cry, so much beauty and so much waste.

Too much to cry over, it would be impossible, if not for daughters and sons, who go on and learn - and keep up the good fight!!

:'( Really well written movies it don't matter if it action comedy horror mythical sci fi anime western etc etc

the movies them selfs don't but the way thought went in to it.

most movies the good guy wins or theres a happy ending or the guy that got killed deserved it

most humans by condition can create in there imagination such beautiful places and in these places most of them good prevails over cruelty or injustice

or the one your meant to be with you end up with

or Human sacrifice for another or the whole world

i often think how can Human's have such beautiful imagination to make great movies or write awsome story's

yet be sooooooo cruel in this world and thats what saddens me

you can create such wonder but in your world you chose to do the opposite

I wished to live in utopia like the Start Trek, but it will never happen, it is just a fairy tale.
